Ky Ha Port Customs Branch and Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station sign coordination regulations
Attending and directing the conference were Mr. Tran Ngoc Duc, Deputy Director of Quang Nam Customs Department, and Mr. Phan Van Thi, Deputy Commander of Quang Nam Border Guard Command.
Although each force carries out its own specialized tasks, the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station and the Ky Ha Port Customs Branch have always closely coordinated to successfully complete their assigned tasks.
Over the past 5 years, the cooperation between the two forces has been carried out regularly and effectively, contributing to ensuring security and order in the border gate area, preventing illegal entry and exit, smuggling, and other violations of the law.
The two forces have jointly processed entry and exit procedures for 1,893 vehicles/35,062 crew members; controlled 25,240 transit vehicles to Chu Lai Port, 567 vessels entering and exiting Chu Lai Port, and conducted 106 joint patrols in the port area with 212 personnel, maintaining political security and social order in the border and port areas.
The subject transporting firecrackers was arrested by Ky Ha Customs in coordination with the competent authorities on July 2, 2024
During the inspection and supervision of customs in the Chu Lai port area, the Ky Ha Port Customs Branch discovered one subject transporting fireworks illegally. The Branch conducted customs procedures and chaired and coordinated with the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station to handle the case in accordance with the cooperation regulations.
In addition, the two forces have promoted the long-standing good relations, regularly caring for and visiting each other on holidays, traditional days of each side, and launching sports, cultural, and artistic exchange movements.
At the conference, delegates made presentations clarifying the achievements and pointing out the shortcomings in the cooperation between the two forces.
Speaking at the conference, the leaders of both units highly appreciated the results of implementing the Cooperation Regulation between the two units, and at the same time proposed that in the coming time, the two units continue to cooperate more closely in exchanging information, grasping the situation and proposing timely solutions to emerging situations to contribute positively to the task of protecting sovereignty and border security.
